Modifying Membership Add-ons from the Staff Site

After a customer purchases a membership, they may want to modify their membership add-ons (rentals, gym/fitness classes, 24 hour access, etc). At this time, this can only be done through the Staff Site.

For prepaid memberships and recurring memberships where add-ons are modified for immediate use, a pro-rated amount will be charged to the customer. Please note, if the pro-rated amount for the add-on falls below your payment processor's minimum transaction amount (typically about 30 cents), the customer will not be charged and the add-on will be added to their account.  

Modifying a Membership Add-on for a Prepaid Membership

To modify an add-on to a customer's prepaid membership, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the customer's profile and select Memberships & Passes. Select Edit next to the membership whose add-ons they wish to modify. Select Edit Add-ons.
  2. Select which add-on you would like to add or remove from the customer's membership. If a new add-on is selected, its fee will be calculated at a pro-rated amount depending on the days remaining on the membership. Please note, if the new add-on fee amount is greater than the old amount, the customer will be charged the difference, pro-rated to the remaining time on the membership. No refund will be given if the new amount is less than the old amount.
  3. Select Save. 
  4. Select your payment method (manual card entry or card reader) to complete the payment and modify the add-on.

Modifying a Membership Add-on for a Recurring Membership (Immediately)

To modify an add-on to a customer's recurring membership to be charged immediately at a pro-rated amount, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the customer's profile and select Memberships & Passes. Select Edit next to the membership whose add-ons they wish to modify. Select Edit Add-ons (Immediately).
  2. Select which add-on you would like to add or remove from the customer's membership. If a new add-on is selected, its fee will be calculated at a pro-rated amount depending on the days remaining on the membership. Please note, if the new add-on fee amount is greater than the old amount, the customer will be charged the difference, pro-rated to the remaining time on the membership. No refund will be given if the new amount is less than the old amount.
  3. Select Save. 
  4. Select your payment method (manual card entry or card reader) to complete the payment and modify the add-on. Going forward, add-on fees will be collected as part of the membership's regular billing cycle.

Modifying a Membership Add-on for a Recurring Membership (Next Bill Date)

To modify an add-on to a customer's recurring membership that you do not want to take effect until the membership's next bill date, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Customer's profile and select Memberships & Passes. Select Edit next to the membership whose add-ons they wish to modify. Select Edit Add-ons (Next Bill Date).
  2. Select which add-on you would like to add or remove from the customer's membership. 
  3. Select Save.
  4. You will not need to collect payment information as the add-on fees will be collected as part of the membership's regular billing cycle.
