How to bulk add participants to events

Participants can be bulk uploaded to an event, streamlining event management (for example, when you get a list of participants from USAC for a climbing competition, or a school bringing a large group).

To bulk upload participants to an event, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Scheduled Events, and open the event for which you want to bulk add a list of participants. Select the "Bulk Upload" option in the event participant table.
  2. To bulk upload event participants, download the provided template and add a row for each participant. If a participant does not have a customer account in Capitan, one will be created for them. If they already have a Capitan account with an associated email address they will keep their Capitan email address, and the email address in the spreadsheet will only be used for this reservation.
