Capitan Release Notes - August 22, 2025
Home Location-Based Membership Pricing (Video Tutorial)
For organizations with multiple locations, you can now set different prices for the same membership type based on a customer's home location.
- Each membership type will still have a default price.
- You can create Location-Specific Pricing Policies to override this default at select locations.
- If a customer’s home location changes to one with a different pricing policy, the new price will apply on their next billing date.
Add-Ons:
- Add-ons are configured at the membership type level.
- If a specific location does not offer an add-on, leave the add-on price blank in that location’s pricing policy. This will remove the add-on as an option.
- If a customer has an active add-on and their home location changes to one without that add-on, the add-on will be removed on their next billing date.
Customer Experience:
- When not logged in to the Climber App, customers will see the default membership price.
- When logged in, they’ll see pricing specific to their home location.
Private Event Request Form (Video Tutorial)
To streamline private event management, you can now turn a repeating event into a Private Event Request Form. A "Create Private Event" button is added to each scheduled event. Any payment collected via the request form is automatically applied to the private event. This setup allows the booking customer to skip participant questions, which is common for private events, where the booking customer may not know the full participant list at booking time.
Once staff use the "Create Private Event" option:
- They will access all standard private event functionality. Staff will need to select the Event Type (from all available multi-part/one-off event types) and pricing matrix based on the request form's inputs.
- The booking customer will receive a unique link to collect attendee questions and required documents (if applicable).
Note: Using the "Booking Notification Email" setting will help staff manage these private event requests, by placing all requests in a common inbox.
Booking Customer Questions
There is a new section in the Event Type configuration for Booking Customer Questions. These questions are only asked once per booking. These questions are ideal for things like terms and conditions or other booking-level information required from the event organizer.
Event Type Duplication
A new option has been added to simplify event setup. In the Manage menu next to any Event Type, you can now duplicate it. The new Event Type will be created in "Draft" status and will include any event setup, pricing matrices, attendee questions etc.
Note: Occurrences, schedules and schedule exceptions will not be copied.
