Member and association discounts can now be automated on Lightspeed.

How to automate discounts with your retail platform

This new updates makes it easy to automate discounts applied in Lightspeed based on a customer's membership or association.

Note: If you use Square and need a refresher on how to configure member and association discounts on Square, the knowledge base article linked above will help you too.

Capitan's integration with Allthenticate allows organizations to manage door access.

How to configure and manage an Allthenticate integration

Capitan integrates with Allthenticate to provide automated access control for 24-hour access and other unstaffed use cases. This integration allows your customers to check in and open doors themselves, using either the Allthenticate app or the “magic link” web interface.

Members can be added and removed from existing group memberships.

To make it easier to manage group memberships, you may now add and remove members from an existing group membership. This can be done two ways:

• Add/Remove Member (Next Bill Date) - The chosen member will be added or removed on the next bill date. The membership's price will be updated at that time to reflect the new set of members.
• Edit Members (Immediately) - The membership's members will be changed effective immediately. No prorated charges or refunds will occur, but the membership's price will reflect the new set of members when the next bill occurs.

Still to come: the ability to charge or refund a pro-rated amount when editing members immediately.

The "telephone" field has been added to the customer export.

The telephone field has been added to the customer export, for more convenient access when managing lists of customers.

New filters have been added to the multi-part/one-off event occurrences page.

In an ongoing effort to make events easier to manage, there are two new filters on the occurrences page when configuring a multi-part/one-off event:

• Location: View occurrences at a single location, or at all locations.
• Hide/Show Past Events: To make it easier to find the occurrence you want to edit, all past occurrences are now hidden by default. Past occurrences can still be viewed when needed by selecting "Show Past Events", and an occurrence is only considered "past" once all parts of the occurrence have ended.
