Check-in with a Shared Pass
When a family or group purchases multiple day passes in one transaction or if your facility allows customers to share passes (ie if one customer has a 10 punch pass, they can give a punch to a friend that does not have any remaining), you can utilize Capitan's Shared Pass feature. To share a pass, follow these steps
- Navigate to the recipient of the shared pass’ profile (ie if a parent purchases a day pass for themselves and their child, go to the child's profile).
- Select “Use Shared Pass”
- Search for the customer that wants to share a pass (confirm based on name, birthday and email).
- Once the customer is selected, you will see how many passes the customer has.
- If a customer does not have any passes to share, Capitan will display that information.
- Select “Use Pass”. After using the shared pass, the customer will be checked-in and the entry method will display as “Shared Pass from” whoever gave them the pass along with how many passes are remaining.
On a customer’s profile under “Membership & Passes” you can view “Shared Passes”.
This displays which of a customer’s passes have been shared with other customers, how many passes were remaining (after use) and the date the pass was used.
