Organizations can now offer automated referrals on Capitan!

The new referral system transforms your members into an effective salesforce, leveraging their enthusiasm and network to drive membership growth. Through the Climber App, members can easily access and share their unique referral codes with friends and family.

This innovative feature offers gyms unprecedented flexibility in configuring their referral programs. Administrators can determine:

  • The discount amount new members receive upon joining.
  • The specific memberships eligible for the referral discount.
  • Whether the discount is restricted to first-time members only.
  • The credit the referring customer receives
  • Automatic application of the credit to the referring customer's next recurring bill.
  • The maximum number of referrals a member can generate each month.

This was by far the top requested feature to come out of last month's roundtable discussion and we are excited to see how organizations leverage referrals to drive membership growth!

Organizations can now utilize cancellation discounts discounts to incentive customers to retain their membership

Knowledge Base Article - How to offer automated membership cancellation discounts

To help organizations reduce member churn, particularly around the summer, organizations can now configure automated cancellation discounts. Cancellations discounts will be offered to the customer when they attempt to cancel their membership in the Climber App. Organizations can configure the following:

  • Which recurring memberships are eligible for a cancellation discount
  • Discount amount (set value or percentage)
  • Availability window (for example, just in June when your organization sees a large amount of customers cancel their memberships for the summer)
  • Max Number of Uses Per Customer (to eliminate customers learning they can always attempt to cancel their membership for a discount)
  • Customer Offer Message (This text is shown to the customer in the Climber App when the discount is offered to them after they initiate canceling their membership. For example, "You have been a loyal customer and we would hate to see you leave! Here is 10% off your next membership dues if you stay one more month.
  • How long must the customer have had the membership in order to receive the offer (ensures this is only offered to your more loyal members)

Organizations can now set time restrictions on entry passes for more flexible offerings.

Organizations can now set an entry pass limited to entry at certain days/times. This enables organizations to offer things like:

  • Off-peak entry passes
  • Promotional events (for example, Friday Discounted Entry Passes that can be purchased in advance but only used on Fridays)
  • Allow 24/7 access to members and restrictions for entry passes
